Rev. anthony grills
Anthony is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church with 20 years of experience in ministry contexts ranging from large churches like Southland Church in Lexington, Kentucky to rural churches throughout east Tennessee and southwest Virginia. Anthony serves as senior pastor at Main Street, and he is proud of the diverse ways in which this church engages both with its immediate community and with other churches around the world.
rev. manny elswick
Manny has been serving Main Street as an associate pastor since 2016. He leads worship, preaches, and works closely with our missions team by leading Celebrate Recovery and serving as volunteer chaplain at the local jail. Some of the work Manny is most proud of are Main Street's mission efforts in Kenya and the worship services Main Street hosts at Dogwood Assisted Living. Manny lives in his home town of Tazewell with his wife, Brooke, and their four children.
Rev. Dr. ethan johnson
Ethan took his first pastoral appointment in the United Methodist Church at Ebenezer UMC in Knoxville, TN, and he has also served on preaching and teaching teams at churches in Maryville, Tennessee; Wilmore, Kentucky; and St Andrews, Scotland. He has served Main Street since 2020. Ethan is both a pastor and a biblical scholar, and he works to connect universities, churches, pastors, lay people, and those of different faith traditions. He lives in Tazewell with his wife, Ema, and two sons.
Theresa Fearn
Theresa Fearn has been serving in ministry at Main Street since moving to Tazewell in 2010. She focuses particularly on the ministries of Celebrate Recovery and the Tazewell Ministerial Association Crisis Fund. She also works as the Administrative Assistant in the church’s office.
